What's in The Iconic Market Box for October:
Kaffeeklatsch Seattle – Parbaked Pretzels (6ct.)
Pretzels made the real way; dipped in lye and baked just a bit – just salt and pop them in the oven for a few minutes. (Instructions included)
Uli's Famous Sausage – German Bratwurst (1lb. = 4 links)
Handcrafted in small batches daily with vegetarian-fed pork roasts using Uli’s own recipe of spice from his village in Holzhausen - Siegerland. This style of sausage is mild, flavorful, and highly versatile in its preparations.
Uli's Famous Sausage – Weisswurst (1lb. = 4 links)
A true Bavarian classic, weisswurst or "white sausage" is a delicious super-finely ground fully-cooked delicacy. Traditionally served in a bowl of hot water and then split lengthwise before eating, it makes a perfect addition to a soft pretzel and some stone ground mustard!
- Mustard and Co. – Honey Curry Mustard (7oz.)
Britt's Fermented Foods – Riesling Kraut (16oz.)
Using Riesling wine to honor the ancient origins of Sauerkraut. The first sauerkraut was in China using rice wine! Sauerkraut was introduced to Europe by the Huns when they came on horseback and became a staple in German cuisine when they combined salt and water with their cabbage to harness the dance of lactic acid fermentation.
Bonnie B's Peppers – Cheese Bread Spread (8oz.)
Blend of Bonnie B's pickled peppers and pickled garlic with cream cheese, parmesan and butter. A great dip for soft pretzels!
Little Prague Bakery – Box of 4 pieces of Strudel
1 Poppy Seed, 1 Cream Cheese, 1 Cherry and 1 Apple
Chukar Cherries – Black Forest Cherries (6.75oz.)
Dried Bing cherries with ultra dark chocolate dusted in cocoa.
